Jackson's Bar and Bistro

Jackson's Bar & Bistro combines the breadth and conviviality of a European cafe with the casual nature of an American bar. From espresso to martinis, from small plates to dinner, and weekend brunches to late-night meals, Jackson's melds retro and contemporary in food and drink with an upbeat ambience and open kitchen. A full wraparound bar, a 100-seat patio, and the counter seating at Fuego, a minibar where pizzas and flatbreads are made to order, serve to fuel the energy and enhance the chance for guests to find a corner to themselves. Steak frites, cordon bleu, crab cakes, Kentucky clubs, burgers and panini pair well with 25 esoteric but reasonably priced wines, all of which are offered by the glass and by the bottle. Hard-to-find beers on tap and a host of specialty cocktails round out the bar offerings. Small plates tend toward offbeat creations like Buffalo feathers and Carolina rangoons, while desserts like cookie-dough egg rolls are served with tongue firmly planted in cheek.
